Slim Dunlap & Chris Mars THE REPLACEMENTS Tim CD JACKET COVER ONLY Signed ONLY 1

This is the front jacket of the CD to The Replacements release TIM. Slim Dunlap wasn’t with the band or played on this record but it’s just too cool that he signed the cover by putting “SL” over the “T” when he signed this for me after a show at the venue The Boathouse on Norfolk, Va circa 199?. I think it was the ALL SHOOK DOWN tour. I have other signed items from that tour including Paul’s signature with a backwards “P” (dyslexic?) but this one only has Chris signature and Slim’s. I would have gotten them all on each one, but funny thing, I was a kid and the damn bouncers thought I was “dancing” too reckless so they kicked me out and I had to wait for my friends and my ride home. I gave them CD covers to Tim, All Shook Down and Don’t Tell A Soul. We all worked at the local mall record store Mother’s and they got to go backstage afterwards and meet the band. I had wait at the entrance and was soooo pissed. I idolized Paul as a songwriter and maybe it was meant to be given his reputation and I would have been mortified if he was a dick that evening. So that’s the story. I had met Slim before on his solo tour and I interviewed him for a newspaper preview article to his local stop in Va Beach’s Peppermint Beach Club show. And he was The Coolest guy I’ve ever met. God rest his soul. He was so chill and willing to talk and tell me how he joined the band and how guys would make pilgrimages from all the over the world to Paul’s house just so they could tell Paul how much his songs and the band’s music meant so much to them and how the band was so important to their own lives and for their own bands.

I need to find that interview; I have on a micro cassette somewhere.

Anyway, I’ll send the then entire CD packaging with the back jacket. Just NO CD and a plastic tab/hinge on case that holds the front part on has snapped off.
